The Challenge
Ensuring a comfortable and reliable environment for guests in large hospitality structures in Texas’ fluctuating weather conditions was a daunting challenge. The event required extensive energy distribution and precise HVAC solutions to maintain optimal temperatures and uninterrupted service.
Additionally, the event’s fast-paced nature, with its constant new demands and unexpected issues, required a partner with extensive expertise and dependability. Inadequate energy or HVAC solutions could lead to discomfort for high-profile guests, safety concerns, and operational delays.

the event’s seamless execution and success.
The Solution
Aggreko used 48 generators ranging in capacity from 40 kW to 500 kW, 37 12-to-30-ton air-conditioning units, three 100-ton chillers, and a 60 kVA battery to provide essential energy and HVAC solutions for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson tournament. These solutions were connected by 21.6 miles of cable, providing a total of 7.8 MW of power across
the entire venue.
Our innovative technology and sustainable products enhanced the event’s infrastructure, while our customer-first approach ensured tailored solutions that aligned with the client’s expectations and goals. Our team worked closely with the tournament’s operations staff, spending four to five weeks on site before the event to ensure everything was set up perfectly.
This allowed the event organizers to focus on delivering a world-class golf tournament, without worrying about logistical and operational issues.
